Tommy John Surgery?

Published by doublecnati at 3:08 pm under Sports Edit This

Does the increasing number of professional athletes contracting staph infections after surgery play a role in the mindstates of those considering surgery? I am becoming more and more convinced that part of the reason Cincinnati Bengals all world quarterback Carson Palmer hasn’t done what just about everyone perceives as being the ultimate option he has at getting back on the field ( Tommy John surgery) is that the potential after effects have put doubt in his mind. Is this something that should be left to the player or does the organization who owns the players contract have the right to make the decision? I personally would like to see Mr. Palmer hang it up for the remainder of this season and come back strong, prepared and healthly for next years run, but at the end of the day if you’re the quarterback do you still have that lingering fear?
